Today is Friday. I am driving up to Atlanta on Tuesday, and will be departing for Chicago on Wednesday. This overachiever freaked out when she realized she had less than a week before she was leaving and had not yet finished her SWAPS! Lucky for me, my eyes got tired of staring at the computer screen doing editing work, and took a break all day yesterday and finished them. Now all that is left to do is finish packing (which I have already started).
So, what is the Girls World Forum you ask? The third and final centenary event in the series of Young Women's World Forums. During this time, we will be tackling issues surrounding the Millenium Development Goals 1 (eradicating extreme poverty and hunger), 3 (promote gender equality and empowering women), and 7 (ensure environmental sustainability). Throw in a little fun, a lot of Girl Scouts and Guides from around the world, and tada! It's a recipe for something completely amazing!
I'm excited to have been given the opportunity to attend. Even more exciting is the fact that Historic Georgia is sending me along with two girl delegates to represent us. I will be posting while I am there, so I hope to give everyone some precious gems! Plus, if any of you want any information that I can/will be getting there, please let me know and I will email you PDF scans on information.
On the other hand, here are some materials already available for you all to take advantage of:

For those attending, see you next week! And for those who cannot, you will be missed!
I'm a Girl Scout leader (and volunteer), and this is my blog chronicling what my scouts have done and what we will be doing... plus some extras for fun. To my troop parents- if your Girl Scout tells you she did "stuff" this week, here's what we really did. To my fellow troop leaders- need ideas? We have plenty of those you can take!
Hello! I will be attending the World Forum also! I am from Chicago, but I am representing the Central Illinois council and chaperoning 2 girls. I'm as pumped as you are! I can't believe it starts in less then a week!!
